Help with some minor issues

I've got two problems that I'm currently aware.

This is a new install less than one week old. I haven't had a chance to ge home and add site content yet, as I work out of town, so it may look a little bland.

The site is located at:
http://www.sekgg.org

The first issue:
The " xx unread message" link at the top in the Qbar doesn't work. or link to the PM box in the profile control panel.

The second issue is that my front page is linked to my forums page, and NOT my Portal page.

Any thoughts or issues with this you can help me with?

Thanks!

R. Nolan

Im nott sure about you link issue, for some reason PMs opens as:

http://www.sekgg.org/portal.php?sid=2d78519f71df7c5cc8a94360a4c99f8d/profile.php?mode=privmsg&sub=inbox&sid=ba29b695f1ffdec5ca898df6833b21a9

Instead of:

http://www.sekgg.org/profile.php?mode=privmsg&sub=inbox&sid=ba29b695f1ffdec5ca898df6833b21a9

For making your Portal as your start page, create a .htaccess file in your root directory with the line

Code: Select all
DirectoryIndex portal.php

Also, what version are you using???

If that is 141 it is still in Beta and is not recommended for Public sites, and you will probably not be able to update it.

You should make sure that you installed 140.

Thanks.

Someone else installed it for me.

Is there a sure way to find out which one I'm using?
141 or 140?

Thanks for the help.

I havent had a chance to test out 141, but on my 140 site it tells me in the footer when Im logged in as Admin.

There may also be a revisions file à¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã¢â‚¬Å“rev.txtà¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€š

Well, you guys are right. The person who installed Integramod installed 1.4.1. Ugh. I was there when he did it and didn't even notice that.

Is it simple enough to save and backup the database, then delete 1.4.1, then install 1.4.0 and import the old database?

Thanks, honestly, for your replies.

Bump...

Ok, everyone that is now online are test members and are aware that 4.1 is a test.

Now, I can't log in to admin panel as my admin user. Any thoughts?

Also, if someone can move this to the 1.4.1 forum, that would be excellent.

Thanks for any and all help.
