acp/importal/blocks management
choose your portal page.
if it is using "portal_body.tpl" the left block is called a "header block"
if it is using "3column.tpl" the left block is called a "left block" or "header block"
at the bottom, choose "add blocks"

add a title.
Block Position: header
for "Block File:" choose "online users"
to display the title you made for this block, choose "Localize Titlebar:" = "no" if you choose "yes", it will use the name for the block written in the language file
