[SOLVED]Upgrade to 141 - All Posts and Forums gone?

What was done before the problem appeared?
Exported PHPBB 2.0.17 DB
Imported 2.0.17DB data into new Database
Copied /forum/ -> into a new folder
After configuring new DB to point to new folder with proper cookie settings, a successful test forum was complete and working 100%.


What was done to try to solve the problem?
Nothing yet. Need advice



De.scription and Message

So after getting the existing forum successfully relaunched into a test environment, I proceeded with:

Rename testfolder/forum/ to testfolder/forumbackup
Made new folder testfolder/forum
Uploaded IM141
Set all CHMOD permissions
Uploaded itestfolder/forum/install/phpbb_to_im141.php

Ran file. Got many errors related to existing tables for existing MODS already installed. Ignored as it said to.

Once completed, the only thing I have on the site is
Test Category 1
-- Test Forum 1

Says there are 1 topic with 2 posts. When I click on the topic, I actually get several posts from my old ANNOUNCEMENTS forum that existed as forum ID=1

My question, by making a fresh /forum/ folder instead of uploading overtop the existing one, did this cause the issue? Or did the upgrade just not work correctly?

I can easily delete the new /forum then rename /forumbackup to forum and reupload the files.

Well, I decided to reupload overtop my existing forum folder since the database obviously contains the right structure still.

Hopefully, after re CHMODDING this will fix it.

I have the feeling i'm going to be feeling a complete berk after asking this but, i've got this same problem except it happens when i resync! Everything just dissapears! All the def_ files are correctly chmodded and the rest are chmoded right too (according to install instructions.)

I resync, right hand side dissapears completely and none of the ACP links show anything when clicked! I know the forums work as I added in the groups and forums prior to the resync! I've tried uploading the def_tree.php file a few times and chmod'd it after this happened. (the result of uploading the def_tree.php is the default "test forum" forum which when deleted completely screws everything up too!

Any idea's on how I can fix this as I'm running out of idea's rapidly!

Btw, on a side note, CTracker keeps moaning when i try to add the de.scriptions to the forums (security hacking message) could this be related to this?
