Apologies for the (probably) obvious question. When IM141 sends me an email telling me it's made a backup every 24 hours, is it just backing up the data (i.e. the posts), or is it backing up all everything - what layouts I'm using, what logos, and most importantly what categories and forums I've created?

I've got loads of categories and forums to make and don't want to have to start again if something goes wrong. I could do with making a copy of the backup off the server ideally, just in case.

Can someone please advise on what gets included and where I can find the file so I can store copies offline so to speak?

It backups the entire database, all information. So, everything but your files.

Thanks Teelk. When you say files, do you mean downloads, and attachments to posts?

When I say files I mean all files. It doesn't back up IM files or any uploaded files. It's only for the database.

Apart from uploaded files, what files are there? Do you mean themes and layouts, or are there others?

Yes everything that make IM run the database is only a record of data like users post, information, where files are uploaded to and thing like that.

SO TO SUM THIS UP THE BACKUP IS ONLY DATA NO FILES ARE BACKED UP.
