Re: converting integramod rc3 to integrmod 1.4.1

PostAuthor: Will M » Sun Feb 25, 2007 6:26 am

I think my problem may relate to this.

I have integramod 1.40 from the old forum and have tried to update it to integrmod version 1.41

All went pretty ok, but then I was left with only one forum category called Test. Looked like it had all my old topics and posts.

Is this just me missing something, or is there somewhere else I can look?

Edit:
sorted it. deleted def_tree.php

Will M. Your problem might be as simple as going into your ACP/Forum Admin/Forum management and clicking on "resync". Give that a try and it might fix your problem.

Ahhhh Viva La Teelk! Havent saw him in quite some time now.... Anyhow, I gave up on all that a long time ago and found a fresh install of the lates release via this site to be the easiest choice. BUT my users were very limited too. I found it easier to have 20 people re register then upgrade a board anyhow.

BUt the .script would be real nice to have for large boards Im sure.

I'm not sure if this helps but I too would like to see a release for this .script. When I was working with rc3 I was unaware of a split and had I known this I would have held off until I knew which side would be the best choice for my website. Thank you to all who are working on this.

sorry to say, it may not happen for the 141 version because everyone with the ability seems to be working on the phpbb3 version of IM. However, you will be able to upgrade to that version due to the phpbb3 handling of CH during the db update.

yes, you should be able to do that right now, though phpbb3 is still considered to be unstable and not ready for a live environment. Also most of the phpbb3 mods ive been working with are still extremely bugy

there are currently more than 10 ppl working on one or another area of IM3. We are still waiting for a few key mods. Michealo is working on pafile and two of his members are working on the topic calendar. There is still alot of work to be done, but it is getting done

Re: converting integramod rc3 to integrmod 1.4.1

PostAuthor: Helter » Wed Apr 16, 2008 7:26 pm

the update system for phpbb3 is different than for phpbb2.
the update to IM3 should follow this path

install a fresh IM3
re-visit the install, choose update
this will import to your database
*pafile downloads
*knowlege base articles
*calendar events
*album images
(there are probably also a few im forgetting)

phpbb3 is so drastically different than phpbb2, that it will not be possible to import everything. Some of the mods we have in 141 do not exist for phpbb3.
The most important things to be imported, are users and users permissions, groups and group permission, attachments, forums, sub forums and topics. These things are already imported to phpbb3 when doing a normal upgrade. Your version of IM should not matter, which means that one upgrade version should cover phpbb, all versions of IM and most other phpbb2 based premods such as phpbb+.
Another plus for the new upgrade system, is that it may be simple to upgrade from other systems such as nuke and simple macines.
We may also finally get support for other db types such as mssql postgres and oracle
