Seems like there is a lot of problems with 1.4.1. I am wondering if I should just stay with 1.4.0 until it crash. I've been running it for 1 year now without a problem. I do plan to upgrade my to the latest available version is phpBB 2.0.22. Does anyone see a problem with 1.4.0 not working with the latest forum? <img>

I'm walking the razoredge on this one.....

I have my online forum as 1.4.0 and a shadow forum 1.4.1 tweeking it.

once I am convinced it'll fly I'll swap over.

90% of what are posted as bugs are setup issues. Most are related to Crackertracker, which has been thorougly discussed and alot are related to webhosts php.ini and security settings.

If i copied my database and everything to do a test install... and see that it functions ok... basically once i switch back to my live database, all i have to do is run the sql .scripts on my old database as the final step, right?

I want to test it out by creating a shadow forum just to be on the safe side

i mean, i know i have to point the upgrade back to my real database, of course

be sure to update your test db with the test forum url

I've decided not to upgrade integramod but update the phpbb. I take nightly database backups and weekly snapshots so wish me luck.
I'm building a new portal/site using PLONE/Zope but decided to roll with a new instance of integrmod based around blogging. (that will be for another post.)
