Hey, I've read on this a couple of times but overlooked it as I have always just used boards for testing purposes and never had any reason to keep all info, but in this case I do.

My current board has a few hacks I've added and no real mods. It also has several experiments I've done for users here to help them and, like always, I've lost track of what all I did.

So I want to keep only my members and all posts. I don't need anything else off the board what so ever.

Also, I have been wanting to move the forum into the root directory for awhile and this seems like a perfect time to test my ability at both.

I would say all you need to do is import you members and topic tables from your old database to your new database

You'll need members, topics, and posts. I think that's it.... but yeah as long as the code is the same (you're going from 1.4.1 to 1.4.1 and not switching versions or anything) then that should work.

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to find out which tables need to be moved over. So far I have all the tables pertaining to:

albums
attach
forums
posts
topics
users

I'm not able to get my forums to show up. So we'll see what I come up with in the coming hours.
