[Solved] "Configuration +" settings

Hey guys, I'm tryin to change the default so a window doesnt pop up saying new PM, since it says it at the top qbar anyways...

"General Admin" > "Configuration +" > "Profile options" >
"Pop up window on new Private Message" = "no"
Hit "Submit"

returns:

Sorry, your password can not be the same as your username.

Click Here to return to General Configuration

Click Here to return to the Admin Index

... so i tried putting in a new users details since it wanted secret Q and reg a new user with the changed defaults, (thought maybe by some wild chance it'd work) and it returned

"Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /public_html/includes/mods_settings/mod_profile_control_panel.php on line 1045"

any help is appreciated

this is a very old bug that was never fixed, but it is not serious
just change the username to anything and leave the password field blank and retry

Sorry to bump but I've run into the same problem and am rather quite stumped on how to fix it and it is preventing any new users from registering on my site
