What was done before the problem appeared?
nothing. my site was working fine.


What was done to try to solve the problem?
tried reuploading the includes folder, the templates folder.

i don't know what happened, my friend PM'ed me saying these error :

Template->make_filename(): Error - template file not found: includes/cache_tpls/def_themes_def.tpl

when posting or making new topics. then i decided to try and the same error occured to me. so i decided to upload the template back (integrastyle). nothing changed. uploaded the includes folder. nothing changed as well. the error still there. and now it appears when i want to install templates using extreme styles. please help!

that file does not exist. Go to acp/eXtreme styles/manage cach and delete the cache for all you themes. It is possible that your cache has been corrupted.

thanks! i also thought that my cache has been corrupted due to my webhost recent optimization. because the file is there, and i even uploaded the whole includes folder overwriting everything.

but i followed your suggestion, deleting the themes cache using extreme styles (which i didn't know was available) then reuploaded the cache_tpl folder. and the problem seems to be gone.
