What was done before the problem appeared?
installed

changed ctracker security to LOW

installed the fisubice themes

Changed board theme to fisubice

Put board in maintenance mode


What was done to try to solve the problem?
attempted to re-access admin panel - couldn't

took board out of maintenance mode via phpmysqladmin and tried again!

Ok, I installed everything fine

Went into ACP for the first time

Started setting things up in General Admin > configuration. Got a ct worm error (settings weren't taken), came in here, looked at some closely related topics, set admin ct to LOW

Installed fisubice themes

Then Admin > configuration again (which worked and the settings have taken) logged out, cleared browser cache

Tried to log in again, everything fine up till after i clicked log in! Then I got a "server not found" error for portal etc. the address seems to be coming up like this:

http://:/portal.php?sid=

Now I know that I didn't put :/ as the address! Its correct in the database! What the hell is going on? how can I fix this?

Any idea's anyone? I'm rapidly loosing patients with 141!!!!

Firstly, I wouldn't post your admin's session id on a public forum...

Oooops, I think I was thinking of the cookie path. Sorry, I'm getting slightly annoyed with this and not thinking straight.

Ok, discovered what had happened!!!

Somehow the config.php/phpbb_security.php's CHMOD was set wrong (i got the instructions the wrong way round!

No problem, everyone get's that way sometimes, and you were even able to fix your own problem after seemingly calming down <img>

Yep, I suppose its all part of the fun of been an admin but its thanks to having these forums for a source of (in)sainity ) that helped!

I'd say to everyone trying 141, don't give up on it, its weird and a hell of a lot more armoured (security wise) than its predecessors, but the developers are doing their best to make IM the best it can be! Sure there are bugs here and there, but imagine how boring it would be without them! (the errors I mean!)
