That happened while I was managing the forums board (create a board topic/category). How can I solve this problem?

CrackerTracker ticks alot of ppl off, but trust me, it doesnt tic you off at all compared to opening up your website, only to find it has been trashed by some little .script kiddie with nothing better to do.

Personal album show up secruity as cracktracker to me, as well. While I was trying to create a catergory (not on admin panel, but in the personal album section).

How can I solve this?

Did you install the crackertracker patch that was released Apr 22. It covered many of the fixes.

joshie, did you go to the knowledge base article telling you how to use the crackertracker debugger?

it tells you what to edit on your files, it's not hard to use

Did you turn on "Debug mode" in ftp?
When on redo your actions until CT error comes up again and then check your logsmanager for debug instructions.
Do it and try again. Hopefully that cures it. If you still get the error, Change the MEDIUM in the debug instructions to LOW.

I have probably had to debug as many as 30 problems, but once it's done, it seems to be smooth sailing.

yeah, it's not going to show the debug solution until you get the crackertracker error again. Once that comes up, you go to the logmanager and there will be a debug solution waiting for you... i'd say just keep CT debug on while you're working on it, in case it pops up again...then turn it off when you're done customizing or whatever

i've had times that i was able to do the action once, then the 2nd time i did it, it'd come up... so it's possible it just thought it was an issue that one time, but got over it somehow.

If you get a CT error and debug mode is off, you won't get any message in the logmanager.

If it's turned on through FTP, you should see a pinkish banner across the top of the home and forum pages saying you are in Debug Mode.

And the banner said something about "please turn it back to normal". I tried that, and it show NOTHING in logmanager, that was the problem I am asking for some help. Debug was on.

Well if it's on, and you recreated what you did, and the CT error came up again. And then you checked the logmanager and debug shows 0, then maybe corrupt files. This is beyond my knowledge. Someone knowing more than I will have to help from here. LOL

It wasn't showing 0. It was showing 2. I click "view" and it don't show anything, except a blank page. Like there wasn't even php code, or template code in it.

That sounds like a corrupt file, but someone knowing the files would have to point you to the correct ones.

This page works for everyone else, so would have to be local to your site.

Nope, and that's what I am going to try that way, and see if it work.

check your chmods on

root/ctracker/logfiles = 777

all files inside this folder should = 666 except for index.htm

"define('IN_PHPBB', 1);" and "define('IN_PHPBB', true);" are equals so just add it after that line. you'll notice this happens in a few of the files.

Yea - that was right.
If you still get the CrackerTracker error,

change,

define('CT_SECLEVEL', 'MEDIUM');

to

define('CT_SECLEVEL', 'LOW');

I am wondering where I can create category. Because everyone has been uploading pics in there, and I am wanting to delete the pics all of 'em to start over since I got this fixed?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I am going to leave this thread alone until I found another secruity pops up and I will come back to this thread, and ask for some help.

Before you ask for help, just follow the same steps for CrackerTracker errors.

Start with MEDIUM and test it.
If ok, oyur good to go.
If error occurs again, change to LOW.

Best to keep highest level of security where what your trying to do works.
