Importing 1.4.0 database into 1.4.1

What was done before the problem appeared?
Site was hacked by Lead Security. Could edit forms, post new threads, the forum names were defaces and many links in ADMIN we routed to LeadSecurity was here.


What was done to try to solve the problem?
replaced suspect files, corrected missing closong php statement def_tree.php

Hello,

I have a 1.4.0 board that was hacked, I thought this would be a good time to upgrade.

My old board a had several MOD's added the Auction Mod and Activity Mod at least these are the two biggest that come to mind.

I have a database backup prior to the hack. Can I use myphpadmin to import the data from 1.4.0 into 1.4.1 or do I need to copy structure too?

Can I restore that database directly in to the virgin setup of 1.4.1 ?

Hi

I would upload your 1.4.0 back up database and check everything is ok then upgrade to 1.4.1 as described in the install package....

It shouldn't be a problem but fi you are like me you would use a copy of your board and test it there first....

I agree with found it, I had a similar incident, although I wasn't lucky enough to have a full backup prior to going to 141, but I suggest you do upgrade asap <img>
