What was done before the problem appeared?
News block on the portal page appears


What was done to try to solve the problem?
Looked through the IM Portal Admin options and panel. I found the news menu in the admin panel, but not for sure how to get it to link from the forum to the portal page.

I'm just wondering how to get my selected topics to show up in the "news" block on the portal page.

Right now, I DON"T have the option to make anything 'news' so it will appear.

Do I need to make a new forum called "news"?

Do you have the forum permissions set to allow posting news?

Select a forum and select 'Advanced Mode' to set it for each forum...
