[Solved] Installation problem - blank screen

What was done before the problem appeared?
First step of install.Without prillain installation.
Confirmation of adding tables to database.Deleted Install and prill_install directories.Clicked next step.URL changed to forums.ipb.co.in/login.php. which shows a blank page.


What was done to try to solve the problem?
Tried reinstalling many times.All chmod values are correct.
Database password and user is also correct as tables were added successfully.

double check your servers mysql version. if 5.* select mysqli at installation time, otherwise choose mysql4

I had chosen teh wrong mysql version.
Now its working fine.
