I have no messages in any of the folders yet it always says 1 even if i have a few new messages then when I read 1 it shows the right number till I delete them then goes back to saying 1 new message(s) <img>

and one of my members says he can't access his private messages at all.

do you see anything in the private message archive in the ACP?

where is the pm archive at in the ACP ?


edit: found it and no there is nothing in it <img>

hmmmm that sounds like something strange going on in your database

I have similar issues occasionally only it says 65636 messages or something like that.

You can use phpmyadmin to browse phpbb_users and browse to your username, edit your pm unread messages to 0, OK.

I dont have any explanation so far but you can try to use the "Check" and "Synchronize" features in
ACP >> General Admin >> Database Maintenance
