Ok, I've got a very strange problem with portal pages...

basically, whats happening is that I've made a number of portal pages (11 to be precise, im adding more later hopefully!) I've tried jumping from page to page with these new pages, they mostly appear properly, the odd few don't... this is where the problem is...

when linking to the pages from the main index or the main protal page they refuse to work, although the portal page number is correct, the content is still the base portal page!!! (I'm linking to them by putting portal.php?page=pagenumber which I have used in the past with previous versions with no problems!)

So to summarise this...

1. Made portal pages

2. put in links to said pages via portal.php?page=# links

3. Tried to make the links work but ended up at the base portal page and not the required content which i put in!

I've checked the database for errors, but there don't seem to be any and cleared the page cache's, still no joy!

These pages are intended for admins only (they are training pages for the site and its related topics), and as I am the only admin (not including the master admin account) currently able to see these pages.

I'm on IM 141 phpbb 2.0.22


Anyone got any idea's????

Try this first...

Clear portal cache..clear extrem styles cache (all) and clear you browser cache...

Then see if the same problem occurs... if it does please add a link...

UPDATE!!

The problem was that I forgot to assign one of the groups who are meant to be able to see the page!!! Once I remedied that the problem went and now all is fine

Not a problem another perspective on a problem can sometimes help...
