Lost data when posting in forums

Is there a reason that if you are posting in the forums and before you submit, something takes you off the page. When you return with the back button all you were posting is gone

... that never happened with the old version. It is pretty terrible to have a lot written only to lose it because you were taken off it ... it has happened to me too many times ... The reason i was sent to another page in my problem but in the past i was always able to recover it. It is a universal problem on my site ( http://www.nycichlids.com ) ...

i do not know if i am explaining it right ... let me give you an example ... i have to look at the keyboard to type so if something comes up on my screen i will not see it. If i continue typing and i find myself on a different page. After cursing a bit i use the back or forward button to return to the posting window but it is empty ... I need to fix this as other members have complained ..

Go to admin > General admin > configuration
find "Session length [ seconds ]" and up the value.
I'm using 3600 I take a while to post <img>

Thanks for your suggestion but when i looked it was set at 5000 ... Maybe i need to take care of the problem with my home box .... it is like i am hitting shortcuts and since i am not looking at the screen i do not know i'm someplace else till i look up ... heheheh ...

What is a big problem is new members trying to register and making a mistake and when they hit the back button the info they added is gone ... or members who are not logged on and they go to make a post, they are taken to a log in screen but after they log in they are not taken back to the page they were on .... I know all different problems ....
