Hi! First of all thank you for the excellent support here!

I came accross an interesting one this morning. I reset the clock (in forum config) from GMT - 1 to GMT, and upon doing so my header block streched out to 200px, even though it was set at 140px.

It's been working fine up until I did that. I've reset the blocks and deleted cache files, rebuilt the template cache and disabled and renabled forum wide blocks. (while continuing to clear cache) All this has had no effect so far. I've run through all the code using firebug to try and pin point a formatting issue and I can't find one. (yet...it is 2am)

It's pushing our forum posts off to the side with it when blocks are enabled also - not just the portal pages. Here is the code from one of the portal pages if anyone wants to take a look:

*scratches head* Has anyone come accross this before or have any suggestions? I'm going to have to sleep now, as I have throat infection, but I'll be up early to get it sorted! I really apreaciate the help!

what template are you using? are you using the default clock and clock_block.tpl?

Thanks for the reply! The funny thing is, I don't even have the clock block displayed. The templates are still default as I don't use them. It just so happened that this error occurred when I changed the clock.

It's fixed! I changed the layout from the two column layout I was using to the 3 column layout and back... and it did the trick. Odd... I want to change the time zone to see if it does it again...but I'll resist.

Ok, scratch that, now the header has streched out again. Something has just dawned on me that it may be the user block. Everytime someone logs on it just streches across...possibly.

I've reactivated the blocks on the site so you can see what I mean.

I'm thinking that it's maybe one of the dynamic blocks that causes the width change. But why is that related to the clock?

The above didn't work. Once all blocks are deleted the column stays at 140px. The users block is a bit all over when it's added. The minute the recent topics block is added, we get resized to around 200px again. I've tried re-uploading the block files and block template files to no avail.

I wanted to work out if it was comming from the database or a corrupted file, so I tried using the integraStyle. The header block still remains at 200px...

I'm considering installing a new board, remodding and directing to the current database. I'll keep trying some other options first. I'll keep this posted.

This doesn't seem to be a problem in Internet Explorer, only Firefox. I just noticed that.

Well, after 6 hours I finally found out what it was... Really, REALLY simple. *slaps own head* In the recent topic block, there was a topic with a large section with no spaces in the title, therefor not wordwrapping, and streching out the column.

Oddly, IE wordwrapped anyway. I remembered having trouble with this before, but couln't for the life of me remember...until an hour ago. When the shoutbox used to be there, somebody had posted a message with no spaces and the same thing happened.

Anyway, thought I'd let everyone know just in case they have the same problem. But I doubt others will be as stupid as me... Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¬_Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¬
