I am transferring domains to my new host.
The domain transfer is now complete, and now I have to do Addon Domain

It asks for:

1) New Domain Name:
2) Username/directory/subdomain Name:
3) Password:

This is where I need help since this is my 1st addon.

1) Is Domain Name: myfriendsareyourfriends.com or http://www.myfriendsareyourfriends.com or http://www.myfriendsareyourfriends.com

2) How do I properly do step 2?

My files are transferred over to public_html/forum
My username I would assume would be the one I use to access my cpanel.

3) Is password new or is it my cpanel password?

To define an addon domain make sure the directory you want the domain to point to does not exist.

1. enter your domain name
2. enter the directory where you want this domain to point to.
Cpanel will create this directory for you
3. Any password will do, what ever you like.

Well I tried, but got alot of errors and said it wasn't done.

Domain: myfriendsareyourfriends.com
password: my choice
Directory: this is where I am not sure.

Is username my cPanel username?
Is directory public_html?
is sub-directory - my choice?

To define an addon domain make sure the directory you want the domain to point to does not exist.


Directory:=forum but its can't be there, it wants to make it. rename forum, let it make one then rename back.
