What was done before the problem appeared?
I posted in forum using html but it didn't work. shows code instead.

What was done to try to solve the problem?
In ACP I allowed html and listed the tags I was using. Still no html in posts.

De.scription and Message

I have a very very very long post that I need to put on my site. I typed it up first in OpenOffice.org and it is 6 pages long....I really don't want to have to do it over in bbcode. I can't do html posts....I can do html blocks....but this is going in the Knowledge Base....I can do it over...but in the future I would still like to be able use html. I allowed it in the ACP and added the tags I'd be using....still no go. Suggestions on how to correct this problem?

I searched around here and found a post with bad news... knowledge base doesn't allow html even if it's enabled. However, that's on 1.40 not 1.41. But has it been fixed? I don't know. I just use bbcode on my kb.

Could you create a test account on your site and temporarily set it to be allowed to post html?

you have to add any html tags that you want to allow to acp/general admin/configuration.
If you have alot of them, or you just want to keep your forum as secure as possible, you upload your html post as an html file, and use the [web] bbcode tag to display it in your post
I have a folder called "html" that I use for this purpose. If you make a simular folder, be sure to also add an empty index.html
This will keep prying eyes from browsing the folder contents

I agree. I never thought of that. And it would be a whole bunch more secure then allowing html to be used in posts anyhow. ouch..

As I said in the first post, I have already added the tags I was going to be using in the ACP....I still have no html in posts.....I did use Helter's suggestion for this post....But even tho there is a way around it, it is still a problem I would like fixed.
