Signature hotlinks won't process ampersand correctly

One of my users had an issue in trying to paste a link into their signature, where the URL included an ampersand. For instance:

http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Draenor&n=Pieta

After previewing or submitting the ampersand would always return as the HTML code, aka & which of course returned an error when following it to the actual link.

Interestingly, the same link if put into a forum post works as intended, but not in the signature.

And finally, in coming to this site, I found that the signature here as well is not properly processing the ampersand URL. I've amended my signature below to demonstrate.

For the record, in the signature I also tried switching the ampersand directly with the & as well as the %26 code, but neither had any effect aside from the changing of the literal text. Also, because my site is a guild site for World of Warcraft, I imagine links to the Warcraft armory (as above) will be a common inclusion in signatures, and would like for the solution to this to be backend, instead of needing end-user attention.

Thank you for your time! I've appreciated the flexibility of the IntegraMod package so far (CrackerTracker aside!!!) and look forward to following its development.

EDIT: On a side note, I've noticed that whenever one hits 'preview' in the signature box, it adds additional code, for instance the above link, after hitting 'preview' a few times, looks like this:

http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Draenor&n=Pieta
