Forum Management+ not working properly.

What was done before the problem appeared?
Trying to install new Im1.4.1b site. Problem exists after multiple re-installs.


What was done to try to solve the problem?
Multiple re-installs, drop/recreate database each time, ...
Upgraded PHP from php4 to php5 and tried again with same results.



De.scription and Message

I'm working to install a new web site using Integramod 1.4.1b downloaded from the integramod.com site and am running into some problems once the site is installed.

Everything appears to install just fine and seems to work properly except when I try to setup new forums in the Admin panel under forums. The forum management its acting very odd and not showing the new forums or categories that I try to create.

It lets me go through the steps of create new forum, fill in the form, submit, says everything was successful, but then comes right back to the 'test forum 1' or 'test category 1' as the only forum that shows. If I click on the move down arrows on the right, then it shows the forum that I just tried to create.

Same thing happens if i try to change the name of the test forum or category.

The forum index page also never shows the new created forums.

I've re-installed the site several times, deleting and recreating the database each time.
I switched from php4 to php5 in an attempt to see if that made any difference and same thing.

Any suggestions?

check to see that all includes/def_*.php files are chmod 666
includes/def_tree.php is the affected file. It is a cache file for your forum directory

UGH.. I hate src files that are writable by the www server. I'll check over the file permissions and see how that goes.

ps: Adding write permissions to the def_*.php include files resolved the issue. Thanks.
