Your phpBB Version: 2.0.22
phpBB Type: Integramod 141
MODs: No
Your knowledge: Advanced Knowledge
Board URL: http://www.centurionfive.com/phpbb/ PHP Version: MySQL Version: What was done before the problem appeared? What was done to try to solve the problem? De.scription and MessageI just upgraded from 2.0.19 w/IMPortal to 2.0.22 w/IntegraMod 1.42 and I cannot get the announcement block to work. I went back to a clean unmodded install before upgrading. I have the forum id set in IMPortal Configuration and it matches the number after the "f" in the url. The block displays but it is empty?
Any clues? I have read other posts reguarding this but have not found a resolution. The forums have been resync'ed and work fine other than not displaying in the Announements block.

this is probably due to your forum directory change from phpBB to phpbb.
check the news_base_url
the news base url for integramod.com looks like
http://www.integramod.com/forum/

I am talking about the IMPortal Announcements Block, not NEWS. Is there a path setting now for the announcements block?

I see what you mean, the block is showing but the announcements don't.
what do you have it set to in the block file box? i think it should be news.
then check the path helter gave you if it's not working.

News and announcements are two different thing. With news you can designate any post to appear in the news block. With announcements you designate forums and every post in that forum that forum will appear in the announcement block by default.
The News works fine, but the announcements block remains empty. News settings should have nothing to do with it.
Does the Announcements Block actually work? I am starting to think that it does not.

Yes. The IMPortal Announcements. It can be added in an IMPortal block. It SHOULD display all messages in the forums that you designate in the IMPortal Configuration in the ACP.
All I get is an empty block.

Well, that is the slashdot NEWS mod that is built into integramod. What I am talking about is the IMPortal (which is built into integramod) Announcement Block. I have yet to get it working in an integramod install but you can see it in action at my importal install.
http://www.cardclubs.net/phpbb/portal.php It is the second block down in the center column. The name in the header is news but it is the IMPortal Announcement Block
The main difference is that it will display all posts in designated forums, not just posts that are designated. Its similar but different to the News mod.
Since IMPortal is installed within Integramod and the Announcement Block is still available as a block and in the IMPortal Configuration in the ACP.

Hey pmlabrier,
Can you check and see if this problem happens with another theme?

Same thing happens using integra2, FI Subice and SubSilver.
Has anyone gotten this to work?

no fix needed, pmlabrier is wrong about the function of the block. True, you need to set the forum id in acp/IM Portal/Portal Configuration, however any post you want to show up in the block, must be set as "announcement" or "Global Announcement" in posting_body.php
remember anythime you change any of your blocks in the acp to delete the cache in acp/IM Portal/Delete Cache Files

I remember running into this a long while back. HelterSkelter is right, you just have to set the forum id. I just tested it with 0 like it instructs to if you want it for all forums and it doesn't seem to work. If you use one forum id or comma delimited it seems to work just as it should though.

How do I find the forum ID? I tried putting in the name and it errored out. I can't find the number for them listed anywhere - though it is probably somewhere simple LOL.

Hover over the forum and look in the link bar. It will show viewforum.php?f= the number following that is the forum ID of that forum.
If you are in the ACP go to: Forum Admin:Management + and hover over each forum and you will see the forum ID in the link bar as well. It is after /admin_forums_extend.php?selected_id=f -number following is the forum ID for that forum. There might be several other ways to find this, but this is the first that came to mind for me.
