De.scription and Message

I accidentally deleted my database, and my host told me to reinstall the database and upload the backup of my database from 3 weeks ago. I did this, but still looks like a fresh install.

I tried ACP and resync in the forum management area. But nothing.

Any help on how to recover the site?

your host should have a current backup of your site. You should ask them to restore your db with the last backup prior to your deleting it. I say this because I think you had troubles with your daily db backup...or did you solve this?

ps... in order for resync to work, your root/includes/def_tree.php, must be chmod 666, or for winblows, set to read/writable

That's right - the forum backups aren't working.

My host showed me where my backups are stored in my FTP access.
I downloaded the database sql backup onto my pc and the uploaded it through Backup in the cPanel.

Does import in database do the same thing?

chmod was 666 for the tree.

I retried and nothing changed.

Ok - I retried restoring the database again.
Now if I go into resync forum, the forum returns minus all my posts, but the counters show there should be posts.
My users only show myself, not all the other members.

If I close my browser and open it again to access the site, I have to go to ACP and resync everytime I visit.

Ok - I did DB Maintenance, and I have my home page pretty much restored.

I see a message at the top of the page "Upgrading the site..."

Is this processing the database repairs and going to go away when done?

sounds to me like the board is disabled, check on the configuration tab in the ACP

Yea I fixed that.

Most host tells me that I am only getting a partial upload of the backup file.
If I can't get it entirely, they will do it from their end.
