There does not seem to be any method to upload files to the album. Is there some install process that I have missed to be able to use the Album feature?

Check admin > manage > Attachment Settings
Make sure the chosen folder has the correct chmod settings.
also check "Disable Attachment Mod" make sure that is no.

First try a file under 2 meg and see if that works. (2 meg is default max for php)
Tru personal albums in board navigation.

have you created a catagory and set permissions in acp/Photo Album/Categories ?
