Wow, I have been looking at some your guys sites, very nice. I guess I have tons to learn. I can't even move my Forums and categories to where thay need to be. Are there any explanations for beginners anywhere? Anyone willing to design me one for a few bucks? I am looking to add a forum to my existing site and was referred here.

Try:
Admin > forum admin > Managment +
That should get you making and moving forums around.
Also have a look at the downloads section a nice template Helps a lot. <img>

Thanks Cannon, I had figured out how to make froums and my content is there. What I am having trouble with is how to get my forums or categories arranged how I want them. I get all forums to show up as each individual forum, but can't get them as though sub headings.

EX: Open Chat(by itself)
Whatever
Whatver Topic 1
Whatever Topic 2

I've tried Linking this category to that forum and that forum to this forum. Can't get sub topics to show up on page when tagged as categories. And when tagged as Forums, they show up individually

you need to make a catagory, then edit your forum and inder the de.scription box, where it says "Attached to", select the catagory. You can also select a forum, which would make it a sub-forum of the forum you select

It's a little confusing in admin and it's going take you a bit to get to know it. Post a way when you need someone will help you.

Thanks you guys, you have been great help. Those templates will be fine with me. What's the easiest way to upload those templates w/ out screwing something up? Do I have to change the permissions like I did with the original? And redo my content?

A few more questions:

1. I don't need the IM home page. On my forum page, I would like to change "home" to " My site" and link it back to my site. How to?

2. Using fuscbice black template. Would like to play with Font colors, where at?

3. Heading or Banner at Top. Where and how to change?

Some banners are trough admin > styles admin > banner.

I'm not to sure on deleting the portal, as the forums are kind of wrapped in a page of it. this may not be a good idea. <img>

you can change the "Home" link to go wherever you want in acp general admin/qbar
the top nav bar is called "Menu" and the left Board Navigation block is called "Board Navigation"

OK..Been trying to change colors...went to >borderline and background of entire page, changed both colors and resubmitted, only the border line color changed, what am I missing?

I am tyring to change the backgorund color of the whole page.

Couple more questions.
1. How to sticky a post. I already changed permission in admin to allow admin to sticky, now what. Trying to sticky and existing post.

2. After login and logout, wanting to redirect user back to forum, instead of IM home page. How to?

If you go back and edit the post look a little below the post you should see a row of radio buttons looking like this:

Post topic as: @ Normal @ Sticky @ Announcement @ Global Announcement

I'm not sure on the redirect, you need to wait for someone else to help you on that.

Still haven't found how to redirect. Second thing is... am I able to post advertising link in posts of my forum? If so, how to? Cant' get it to work.

js is disabled in posts for security. You would have to ask Michealo (phpbbireland.com) how to overcome that. For the redirect, open login.php

I downloaded the Ti2000 template to my pc. I tried to upload the Ti2000 Config. file thorugh Import Styles. Said wrong file or not compatible. Whicj file do I need?

Next Question: If I do this, will I loose the Data on my existing forum or will it atomatically transer after installing and setting as default?

Found part one of my question. However, When i Click on Install Styles, Ti2000 is not there. Which leads me to believe it still needs to be imported. It shows up in the directorty under Edit templates but that's all. So how do I import?

Well Got the Ti2000 up and going. I uploaded into public_html wrong.

I changed my banner size and it made my page go way to wide. I changed it back it is normal sometimes and other times not. If hit refresh it goes back to normal. How to fix?
