De.scription and Message

Hello,

I got a problem on my board with the width of the posts. My users always have to scroll a little bit on the right side to be able to read the post.
This only appears when reading a post and not on the forum index nor on the portal nor in the sections.
What can I do to perfectly fit the message in the browser so that the users donÂÂ ´t have to scroll to the right anylonger? <img>

with the kindest regards, looser9

Maybe try?

OPEN:

templates/subSilver/viewtopic_body.tpl for the following line:

FIND:

Code: Select all
no_thread_stretch({BLOCK_WIDTH}+240);

REPLACE WITH]no_thread_stretch({BLOCK_WIDTH}+10%);
If that doesn't work, you can try different percents and different pixel (240) until you find something to suit.

It's been so long since I've dealt with that issue, I don't know if that will fix it or not but if not, it's easily set back to original.

On a non-related note, when viewing your site (it uses subSilver), I noticed a messed up image on the left and right side of the bottom bar (that has red arrows at each end) and the messed up image is:

http://hartgeld-forum.com/forum/templat ... spacer.gif

That can be fixed by opening your templates/subSilver/overall_footer.tpl file and right above the copyright notice near the end of the file, find these lines:

Code: Select all
<td><a><div><img></div></td><td>{QMENUS}</td><td><a><div><img></div></td>

REPLACE WITH]<td><a><div><img></div></td><td>{QMENUS}</td><td><a><div><img></div></td>
Well, your bottom image issue doesn't show a broken image link but it doesn't look the same as the top bar since it's on a different background. Someone smarter than I am knows how to fix that... but I don't.

looks like youve got an extra </td> and possibly an extra </table> in the overall_footer.tpl,
before
<table>
<tr>
<td><a><div><img></div></td>
<td>{QMENUS}</td>
<td><a><div><img></div></td>
</tr>
</table>
