Moving and upgrading to IntegaMOD

PostAuthor: Nisse666 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 2:49 am

Im a admin for a phpBB forum (2.0.22) with a few mods like Categories hierarchy installed.

And im about to change host for that website and found IntegraMOD and I was amazed. Nw I would like to import my old database but install/upgrade to IntegraMOD 141 at my new host

Now for my question:

What would be the easiest thing to do if im going to upgrade to IntergaMOD 141 ?

A totally fresh install of IntegraMOD on my new host and then importing my old database from my previous forum (phpBB 2.0.22)

OR

Installing pbpBB 2.0.22, import my old database, and then upgrading that to IntegraMOD ?

I've had to do this for a couple people and my experience tells me to do a clean install then just pull the tables and fields in that you need.

That way it's as clean as possible

ive only done a few upgrades from a phpbb with a higher version of ch than Integramod comes with. The last one id did, I had to get rid of all sub catagories to do the upgrade. Not delete, just make every subcatagory, a standard catagory. Not sure why the first two didnt give me any trouble.

Thank you

Is there a quick and easy way to covert subforums to "regular" categories ?

Hmm, i cant seam to get the backup database imported at all.

When i try to import it, it kinda "times out" before anything gets imported.

Am I missing a step ? like CHMOD a file before import or something.

Or is my database just too large for an import ? around 25mb or so

Well i think i got the "ÂÂ ´timed out" problem solved by using Bigdump, at least the database gets imported now.

But.... there are some problems still.

First the IM portal doesnt load at all, and i get the following errors:

Critical Error!
message_die() was called multiple times.

Error #1
Could not obtain bot data.

Line : 1995
File : XXXXXXXXXXX/www/forum/IM141/includes/functions.php
SQL : SELECT bot_agent, bot_ip, bot_id, bot_visits, last_visit, bot_pages FROM phpbb_bots

Error #2
Could not get theme data for themes_id [5]

do you have the bots table in your db?
for your second issue, are your chmods correct for includes/def_themes.php?
It is behaving as though you have not run the update sql file

install/upgrade.php

for def_themes.php overwrite your current one with this and set to chmod 666

[code]  <?php/***************************************************************************  *                       def_themes.php  *                       --------------  *   begin             ]
