What was done before the problem appeared?
I have installed Coppermine on my server, but have yet to integrate it with IM141.

What was done to try to solve the problem?

De.scription and Message

I have downloaded and installed Coppermine Photo Gallery (CMPG) in it's own directory on my site. I am looking for the best way to integrate it with IM141. Here are a couple things I am looking at trying to do:

1. Create a Portal page for CMPG. Will I be able to integrate it or create an IFrame for it. If I have to create an IFrame, how would I go about doing that.

2. I would like to have it so users will not have to have two separate logins to access CPMG. If possible, I would like it so that when they login to my site, it will also login to CPMG. This, I have no idea how to do.

3. Create access links for CPMG. I.e. When someone uploads a file in a post, it will link to CPMG. Or, in their profile, album etc ...

I found some posts here on IM that touch on some of these, but no real explanations. That, and it was more than a year ago that those posts were made. I was hoping that someone else has integrated this into there site and would be willing to share information and techniques.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Hmm ... I guess people either don't like Coppermine, or scared of the conversion.

Does anyone have any sugestions at all?

Bump ...

Is this one of those Mods that we just don't talk about here at IM? If so, does anyone at least know of a location that I can go to to get any information? I really would like to incorporate this into my site.

Please, any help would be of great assistance.

Thanks -

i've never used Coppermine or even seen it. Are you hoping to replace Smartor's Photo Album with it?

spaniel, thanks for the reply.

You can check out Coppermine HERE. I have done some research on it and it seems like it would be a fantastic addition to IM. Mass uploads, can display video and much, much more.

I have heard a little about people trying to get it to work with IM, but the threads just end without any real significant help. I was just hoping that someone here has integrated it with IM and would like to share the knowledge with the rest of us.

Also, is there any inclination that it may be released with the next version of IM? ... Or at least something like it?

CPG does not "integrate". You can connect the db's but that is about it. It is a standalone product. You cannot share templates and board styles, only user accounts. There have been a few phpbb style templates made for it, but when I checked it out a year or two ago, they looked terrible. The best thing about CPG is some of the professional looking templates, but using them will clash with what ever phpbb style you use.
If you really dont like our FAP, check out Gallery2 http://www.gallery2.org/
I will tell you though that you will never get the same function out of another album because FAP/Smartors Album is fully integrated into most facets of Integramod

Helter, thanks for the reply and the information for Gallery2. I will take a look at it.

It is not the fact that I do not like FAP album, I just wish that there were some additions to it that would allow Admin to mass upload. With thousands of images and photo's, it can take a long time.

Also, would you know where I can look to find out how to ling the two db's together?
