recreated the field, tried several modifications to the field



De.scription and Message

Added acustom text field to the user profile, Steam ID, text, generic...

It shows in the profile, but when i switch it to 'required' i get this:

Sorry, it appears this is your first visit since we added some required fields to the system.
Once you update the fields marked with *, you will be able to enjoy the whole site.

The Field "" is required

It doesnt tell the user the name of the field they need to complete....

any clue?

When that user goes back to their Registration Form, the required fields will have a red * beside them.

A user of mine had the same message, when he filled in his profile properly, the message went away.

It does have the field marked with a red *, but the error message doesnt show which one, and doesnt have a link either, they have to manually go back into their Profile and choose Profile again, then look at the list. We'd rather have them at least know which field need to be filled out before going to search through it all.

Like if you didn't complete the age or password fields, it says 'You need to complete the field "Birthday"'.

IF you've added it, I would think would be the only blank field for your users?

I don't know where you'll need to add the info for the warning message but I'm sure it's in pcp.
