What was done before the problem appeared?



What was done to try to solve the problem?
i've gone through all the permissions for the forums, groups, and users and no luck

I have multiple forums that are set to private [hidden] but i have users that can see them when they are not in the group.

It only happens with recent registered users. When i create an account and i look at the forums i see EVERTYHING. I am not in any groups but i can still see them.

I have gone through all the permissions of all the hidden forums. I've tried setting them to moderator [hidden] and you can still see them. I've set them all to ADMIN and you can still see them.

HELP!?

Are you logged in as Admin at the time?

Nope. I created a fresh account. so it has no permissions or anything.

Aren't new users placed automatically in a group which would have the permissions to access and see those hidden forum? I would check carefully if new members belong to any group...

Do you have an old non-admin account you could use to see if this is a recent problem?

No they are not put into any group. Also it wouldn't matter anyway because i have forums that are hidden to one group and then not hidden from the other.

Yes i have users that registered towards the beginning and they say they can not see the forums that the new users can.

have u checked the chmods? made any changes to the language files? installed any mods?

I have not changed teh Chmods since install.

No changes were made to the language files

No mods were recently installed.

by recently installed, do u mean since permissions worked perfectly?

chmods only change when a new file is put onto the server. I am working with Mr.Black on this, and I set all the forum permissions to Admin and the new user was still able to view the forum.

Leadfoot has the same problem that we could not figure out. It seems that his server cache is to blame because it always takes exactly 48 hours for imposed user permissions to take affect. If you find a fix, please post it.

Mr. Black have u checked the user u created lately. Can it still see private threads? I have the exact same issue as u. But as helter says it takes about 48 hours and then the new users cant see thehidded forums.
