Is this a setting I need to change to allow google to show the album images in their cached image of my site.
Also, will this eat up alot of bandwidth as google seems to camp out on my site at times.

Check the robots.txt in the root folder they may not be allowed in that folder.
You do need to watch what the bots take the bandwidth can add up.
