Blocks changing size when logging in

What was done before the problem appeared?
Nothing I can think of. It's a clean install of phpbb2 and IM141, using Dark theme by Helter Skelter


What was done to try to solve the problem?
Looked at block/IM portal settings for possible solution, tried IM forum search to see if people have encountered similar problems

Hey all, I'm trying to configure portal pages for my site and I've noticed something weird. When I'm logged out, the page blocks appear normal, running the full width of the page. When I log in, the blocks become narrow and there is a bunch of dead space on the page (see attached). I've poked around on the forums for a solution but could not find anything - though I'm not sure if I'm using the right keywords in my search. I've looked through the block/IM portal settings but nothing jumps out as an obvious solution.

It's a simple formatting problem but it looks bad and is driving me crazy. I don't want to publich my site until it's fixed. Anybody have an idea about what I'm doing wrong?

this is normally caused by a broken block that has some info only viewable to admin, or logged in users.
Disable your blocks one by one to find which on has the problem

Thanks Helter (and thanks for the awesome IM template!).

I fiddled with the viewable options but that didn't have a visible effect - but on that same Block Management page I noticed I had the block type set to BBCode. When I switched it to HTML, the block displayed normally. Looks like the issue is resolved!
