De.scription and Message

Okay so, these guys wanted to change hosts and they asked for me to move their stuff over. So I installed a fresh copy of 141 and attempted to do a database restore, but it keeps telling me no file was uploaded. So being the brilliant man that I am I tried going into phpmyadmin and uploading it there, but it didn't work because the file was too big. My question is there a limit to how big a database backup can be or is something else wrong? The current backup is about 11mb. Thanks for any help.

Others have had good success with Big Dump... find it via google search. It allows for restoring large databases.

I think mysqldumper works also...

All I ever did was create a new install and through phpmyadmin, I imported my backup to the database with no problems.

I use big dump it is available here on this website and is rather easy to use.

I just moved a guys website to my server for him and the same thing happened. His DB was like 43 megs and it wouldnt dump for me in phpmyadmin, so I used big dump and in less than 3 minutes, I was up and fully operational. Nice little .script.
