Integramod installation taught me I'm dumb

Could not connect to database. This is when I'm trying to install. I know I got the ftp info right, and I uploaded all the files and whatnot according to the information I found in these forums, but I must be doing something wrong. I just can't put my finger on it. Frustration has mounted extensively. I've been searching this forum looking for a solution, but so far to no avail. (Probably mostly due to my own incompetence.) Any assistance anyone could offer would be most appreciated. I would totally offer a stack of cash to whomever could alleviate my problem, unfortunately, I am extremely broke.

Would you settle for imaginary jellybeans? I have a lot of those.

Could not connect to database

I'd guess the path to the data base or a type-O, check config.php from the php install make sure the info matches what your try to install IM too.

is the db localhost?
is the user and pw correct?

I have just tried 3 times for this person and have gotten the same thing every single time.

At first, I had to set all permissions. They were default permissions, not set to install. I have tried mysql3 mysql4/5 and still nothing. Can not connect to the database.

Rechecked all permissions and I didnt miss any at all. Double checked info user gave me and it is all correct. Im guessing this is a free host. and with that is going to come trouble. I had this issue the other day with a guy as well and once he switched hosts, ironically enough the install went right in.

Im going to try again. Maybe I missed something but the chances of that are slim to absolutely none.

The sql server info was wrong user now has a fully functional Integramod site.

Oh and you may opt into changing your passwords for your new website AND your control panel now. Not that I would ever hurt your site, it is just good practice. <img>
