i have a fairly simple question, i upgraded my hosting package to a premium package where i can host multiple site. initially i installed everything to my root folder, but now since i am wanting to host multiple sites i would like to clean up the root folder and just put my site into a folder "mysite" (just an example). If i make that folder and transfer everything in my root to that folder and change the .script path in the administration panel under general admin to .script path /mysite. Everything should function just as normal correct?

yes, it should be fine, though you should also rename your cookie so your users will not get directory not found errors.

ok the move went fine but as you posted helter when i go to login i get a error, it redirects to http://www.dropstarz.com/dropstarz/portal.php how do i fix this small problem

is it with the cookies? if so what do i need to set it to

errr i changed the cookie path from / to /dropstarz and now i can't login at all

First you have to delete the cookie of your site in your browser client.

Then login on your site, and start the cookie mod. Create a new name for the new cookie, this so every user who tries to login will save the new cookie for your site. This way your users don't have to delete their cookies.

If you use the same cookiename as the last time your forum was online, every user's browser has to delete the cookie for your site.

The way I explained, a new cookie will be created, and no one will have problems with logging in.

ok thanks for the tip about the cookie mod but the one you provided gave me the errors stated above i did some googling and found another cookie mod that worked perfect so if anyone else has the problem with there cookies / logins
