Don't delete. Just disable it.
Turn it off and it will not show.

ok that don't explain what is ADDING code to the files, or why the code is stopping the files from working. and why once i make thos two files unwritable ALL pages go blank!!!!

see i have a exact copy of the site on my localhsot and it dont have those lines in the files.

dont edit any code to add/remove menu items. They are stored in the db. The def files are just cache files and will change.
go to ACP/General Admin/Qbar/menu/

edit them from there

ok ill say it again, i was trying to edit them through the qbar! only when i tried to edit them that strange line of code appeared and it would LET me edit them. it did the same thing with the def_themes.php i remove those lines and it worked for a minute then i went and tried to edit the forum and that is exactly when all pages turned blank!

i NEVER try to edit the code unless i have to. i was aksing if anyone knew about that strange line of code that apeared even after removing it. because within a minute of removing the code it reappeared. and as long as that line of code was there it wouldn't load the page. and as long as that line of code was in my def_qbar.php it wouldnt even open the front page!
