What was done before the problem appeared?
some hackers had added files to site
i had to replace functions.php many times

got some serious issues

1. Block management does not work. See error messages below.
2. No one can log onto the web site (except me)
3. No one can register on the web site.

I would save the database ( if not corrupted) and uploads and images and upload a new package. Most likely not the correct andswer but its what I used to do.

And Im curious how they got in?

I have ben using a 1.4.1 board for a while now and no one has gotten in yet. Did you chmod your config file BACK to 644 after the board was installed? And did you comment out cracker tracker?

Im just curious.

1 export database
save photos and uploads

delete databse

delete forum files

reiinstall forum from scratch

then import database?

what about all the blocks i made etc--will those be restored with database?

the prob may not be in your db. dl a fresh copy of IM141.
open it and delete includes/phpbb_security.php (so you dont overwrite your current one)
copy your current includes folder and profilcp folder in case you need to reinstall them
upload the new includes and profilcp folders over your originals
in your database unban user id 1

redo your chmods for these folders
go to acp/forum admin and resync the forums to get them to display
