Hi,

I modified my .htacess on my root to ban countries from accessing my forum. I am only interested in US ip addresses because it is a local site.

Can adding too many countries make the slight slow to access. Not sure how the htaccess works. Is there a way to only allow US address as opposed to banning all the others.

Yes you can slow your site down if you access is too large or just asked to process to much, this file is run on every access (part of it's power).
