Page columns problem when pics are shown in profile

When a user uploads pictures to their album, their most recent uploads show in the bottom of their profile. When these pictures are there, the center blocks' width is shortened and an empty space appears between the center column and the footer. Is the user has not added pictures, the spacing is fine.
I have no idea where to start looking for this, nor what to do when it's found. I'd appreciate the help.
My screenshots show the bottom portion of the profile page. One with pics, where you'll see an empty space between the middle column and the footer and the other without.
