double login

my site is having some problem.

when i login, it goes into the portal page then when i go to the forum section, i've been auto logged out the forum then i have to re-login again to be in the forum.

any idea what's the problem?

I'm curious... do you know if you're having problems with Prillian, as well? I've had the same issue, if so. Changing the cookie path as Teelk advised (http://www.integramod.com/forum/login-issues-t5163.html) has so far taken care of the login issue... but Prillian NOT popping up (which was the precursor to my login problem) has begun happening again. Took about a week after the path change before Prillian failed. And it's failing on a consistent basis once again. <img>

Prior to Teelk's advice, I'd been running with just the default cookie settings for over a year with no problems.

After Teelk's reply, I changed the defaults to reflect my site: domain = .mysite.com

I run in a subdir, so my cookie path is now set at /myforumname/

I know there are issues regarding using .domainname vs http://www.domainname, but everything I've seen has always directed towards not using the www.

Right now, I'm just so happy everyone can get logged in again that this seems like a minor problem. Of course, one of the persons on our private board who uses Prillian (and informed me of the issue occurring again) just happens to share a work cubicle with me. <img>

We had the same issue on our site, where every visit you had to login twice.
If you tried to post something, you sometimes had to login again,
Visiting site from an email notification, you had to login.

Our site never did it before, and then this happened for 1 or 2 or maybe 3 months.
Then it stopped on it's own. Everything is fine now.

This may hopefully happen in your case, where it will go back to normal.
