I recived mail from my server provider that my forum uses a lot of CPU power and that i should move to dedicated server...

they said that normal limit is around 20%.... and my forum often uses 80-100%

that thing costs a lot... and to be honest... I have only around 50 posts per MONTH...

around 200-300 visits per day...


any ideas why my forum needs so much servers cpu power?

the fix found in this thread will help eliminate quite a few unnecessary db queries.

Not sure if you are using any, but I used a toolbar, and used our forum news feed on the toolbar.
Seems the news feed was overloading our server and my host shut me down 4 times.
I removed the news feed and all was good.
Seems not to play nice.
