My web host has just updated all servers to mysql 5.2, will 1.4.1 run on 5.2, im having issues about when i click on forum in the menu it trys to load (30 sec. or more) and it finishes and the page did not open, i just get a blank page (no error or any thing). i have to refresh 3 or 4 times to try and get page to open. web site seems to work alright it just wont open the page all the time, and thats about 70% of the time i get blank pages and have to refresh? has any one else had these problems, I use "Servage.net" for a web host. they were running mysql 4.1 till now.

I have a similiar problem at first.
I moved my site to a new host, and went from 4.2 I believe to 5.2.6
When I got everything moved and the site up, I found my pages stalled on the forum page, at the point between the Birthday announcement box and the lower qbar.
I would assume it was because it is going trough the entire database looking at those with a birthday.
Lately it has been much better. I guess the database may have optimize to the forum maybe.
If the birthday box becomes to laggy, I will be removing it because I think it's the culprit in my case.
But with 4.2, I don't recall that problem.

If you installed originally for 4.x/5.x, it should work.
Have you optimized your site in ACP?

this is from my forum statis
Version information
Version of the Board: 2.0.23
Version of DB Maintenance: 1.2.2c
Version of PHP: 4.3.11
Version of MySQL: 4.0.26-standard
after reading a email from them im wrong its not mysql 5.2 its this
For security reasons PHP v4 support will be discontinued. Instead PHP v5.2 will be default on all clusters - for most customers this will not cause any problems. If you are using old scripts you may want to upgrade them to ensure they work under PHP 5.2.
Thank you for your understanding.
