I have a 2 questions if some one could help me please.

1) Is it possable to show different news catorgorys on different portal pages. If not is there a way to setup different forms that when posted in will show up on a certen portal pages. I know I can just go into the ACP and make a new block for each portal page, but thats not how I want it to work.

2) I have posted events in the calender. On the mini cal when I click on the past dates "lets say the 5th" it will direct me to the search "No topics or posts met your search criteria" why wont it direct me to the past event date post. When I click on a upcomming event it will direct me to the right post.

Starting with 2, I tried on my site, and works fine, unless i am not doing the same as you to replicate the problem.
I click on calendar on the navigation block.
Calendar opens, and when I click on any old events, it takes me directly to the post containing the event.

If you did it differently, post the steps you did to get your results.

As for number 2, I believe there is only 1 news and news feed through the entire site. I know vBulletin offers a news feed for each forum area you create. I guess as you create a new forum area, a new feed link is created.

Not sure how it's done, but maybe someone knowing the workings of these sites could tell you how or if it can be done.

I'm not sure you understand ether of my questions.

I want to be able to display news cat 1 on portal page 2 and news cat 2 on portal page 3 and so on...

Click on a past date on the mini cal block on the portal.
I have a event setup on the 5th, today is the 10th. I select the 5th on the mini cal portal block and it will direct me to the search "No topics or posts met your search criteria"

Question one may be possible, but I think it would require a mod to create more than 1 news feed.

I was messing around with the news feed mod and thought i would try and make 2 of them.

But I think it will take a lot of time.
I would have to change the name of it and all the tables. It a lot of work!!
