I originally couldn't upload a photo for my profile photo.. I found a thread indicating I should chmod 777 my /images/photos

I did this, and I can upload a photo fine...

But, when I choose to use a Gallery image, I click on the 'Show Gallery' button, and no galleries are shown in the drop down box. I DO get the pop-up, and the drop down, just no content in the dropdown....

Any suggestions?

add a folder to images/avatars/gallery/
if you call this folder Smilies and add smiley face images, then you will see the choice "Smilies" in the dropdown box.
Select it and click "Go" and you will see the images from the Smilies folder. You can add all images to one folder, or add several folders with different images

Just curious though... why would I put a folder in images/avatars/gallery when I'm not dealing with Avatars, or Smilies....

My problem:

Profile Photo: I can upload my own photo, no problem, works fine.

Issue: when I delete my photo, and choose to use one from the Photo Album, I click on the Show Gallery button. I get the pop up, and the drop down box to choose a category. The drop down has no categories listed, and I cannot select anything.

My site is not using gallery avatars, using the stock smilies, and I've no issues with either.

the photo gallery works the same as the avatar gallery.
folders and images added to images/photos/gallery/ will display in the dropdown box.
I dont know why it works this way. I would think that it should link to images in the users personal albums, but I didnt write the mod, or add it to Integramod so I cannot comment on why it works this way.

Ok, you DID initially tell me to go to /avatars <img>

Yeah, I added a 'test' dir inside /gallery, thus /gallery/test

I can now see 'Test' in the dropdown... so mechanically, everything with this issue is working... just wondering, HOW is a user supposed to populate that directory? Or is it supposed to be a 'House Gallery' where I offer my own choice of images...?

as far as I know you have to populate it manually
