group permission , can't give access without giving the group mod status.

Tried several times, I select to allow access, reload the page and its back to disabled.

Now I have set up groups before to be able to see hidden sections without giving them mod powers.

Even doubled checked, got a few section like that.

Where in the database can I find the group permission and hard edit it, so it can't change back. A quick look didn't find it.

is this a 141 problem or IM3 problem. Im asking because you just installed IM3 but this is a 141 forum

Yes but the IM3 is just a test upgrade site.



The site is sitll live on 141

was tryign to set up a hidden group section for the beta team in the 141 forum, set section to private, then in group permission try to set to allow access, but it will not stay, reload and its back to disallow, unless I make the whole group a mod of the section too. which I don't want.

Now I know I have similar sections set up like this [but they were put that way before the 141 upgrade], but some reason it won't let me give them access without mod powers too in 141.

this has to be a file permission problem. re-check your chmods. If it all looks good in your ftp client, recheck in your CPanel file manager. Occasionally FTP will lie to you.
