i took the banner tag from overall header .. and change the cell colour to black.. and the header image is a jpg.. PNGs are used as forum icons.. and thanks flex <img>

Did you mean the banner mod?. You've taken out the banner mod right?, if so I think I've saved that post on how to remove the banner mod.

you should not need to remove the banner code. you can turn the top banner off in acp/styles admin/banner.

You can then add your logo through acp/general admin/configuration and set the size

am workin on keeping linkable icons image in overall header.. so i need to remove the banner from there..

something like http://www.mx-system.com .. but not that big..

are you familiar with Adobe Imageready? You should be able to accomplish your goal utilizing "hot spots" to see an example, open the overall_header of the template CS. I used a "hotspot" to make a linkable image for the radio.

Sorry about the silly question, but how do you change the cell colour to black?

open your fisubice_black.css and look for [ topbkg ] .. change the colour

this is how mine is:
