Hi gang

I noticed that it seems to take a little while to load the portal page the first time....

I tried a little test and instead of the portal I went to the index page. It loaded like a flash and I logged in and the post log in load of the portal was quick as well....

Anyone have and thoughts on why this might be happening?

I'm going to redirect the index to the forum index for the nonce .

Do you have IM Portal cache turned on? The first time you visit it'll read from the database, cache it and then any time you visit after that it'll read from the cache.

Think that's how it works anyway, I actually have never really had the oportunity to look at the IM Portal cache code as I've never needed to modify it.
