Is there a Mod to add a Complaints Dept to forums (IM1.41)?
Right now, we have a separate Complaints section, but it'd be great to keep as part of the main forum.

I'd like something where the thread starters can see only their own posts and consequent replies from admins. Anyone posting in the forum wouldn't see any of the other posts from other users.

A usergroup would be set up to deal with complaints would be able to view all posts and replies....

Anything like that out there?

What I did was just make a "Feedback/Tech Support" forum, for stuff like that.

But everyone can see it?
It'd be nice to have something where the person making the complaint can only see the topics that he has started. Moderators would be able to see everything.

Well, I have it set up so that anyone registered can see and post [because that way, if it's a tech issue, then if I don't know what's wrong, someone else would].

I could be wrong, but I think you can set up the forums so that any USER can start a thread, but they can't reply to a thread that's not theirs.

I'm curious, though. Why do you want it set up like that?

Well, if someone complains (in our case, we're a gaming community, so we often get complaints about being banned or complaints about other players), we'd like to keep it private so that flame wars don't start up.

So if one complainant starts a topic, it's the only one he can see. The admins group can then reply to him and offer help/advice etc.
But no-one else can read it or even see that this person has posted....

Is this possible? Given the current security settings, I'm not sure it is...<img>

You would just need to find a php guru to write the mod

It could happen with if user id=x allow to see else deny, then another if user=admin,mod allow

etc, you get the idea, just got to find a php person to write it
