Portal Page Question

PostAuthor: Pogue Moran » Wed Dec 13, 2006 9:36 am

After looking through the IM Portal and how my forum is currently organized I was wondering about the multiple portal pages and what can be done. You see I have one layout for the portal I have the left side forum wide and the right side not. I notice you can set in the portal configuration the enabling of forum wide blocks and etc. What I want to do is have the left side blocks or say certain ones of the left side always show up while some only show on the portal. Then I want to be able to have a few of the right side blocks show up when I use the index while keeping a few of the left side blocks. How can I do this or can I do this with IM Portal?

I am interested in the multiple portal pages and how this works too. If you set up a second portal page that is not your default page, how do you access it?

look in acp/IMPortal/page managment. this will give you the page id of the new portal page. the internal link (ie... from qbar, or pages inside your forum would be "portal.php?page=4" or whatever the number of YOUR portal id. the external link would be (example)http://www.integramod.com/forum/portal.php?page=4

ps... sorry i missed Pogue Moran's post, but yes you can assign blocks to show up differently per each portal page, just like you do for your default page.
